Our heritage

Last week some idiots went and smashed the faces off of the statues by the foot of the Lions Gate Bridge… I was looking at pictures of them and felt the need to do a sculpt of one.

They’re pretty cool looking lions… and a pretty sweet thing to have guarding the entrance to a bridge.
I’ve never really gotten vandalism… I don’t get how someone looks at something nice and feels the need to destroy it. Spraying paint all over things is bad enough… but smashing a historical Vancouver landmark with a sledge hammer…. Only a true creton would do something like that. Like I’ve said before… you get two sides of the coin with people.
The good news is that the city has found a company that will restore them. The bad news is that we will all pay for this disgusting display of idiocy. I hope they somehow catch these losers.
